The Township of Lara Care Group Inc. was founded in early 2004 as a non profit non-political community action group working with elected officials and council on local and regional planning affairs. The Groups initial focus was to protect the state wildlife sanctuary at Serendip on Windermere Road in Lara from what a majority of the town saw as irresponsible and out of character development plans at Caddy’s Road.
